Today, Preston was playing with a toy cell phone and wanted me play with him. I was busy, but took the phone anyhow and pretended to talk to Daddy on the other end. I handed the phone over and said "Here Daddy wants to talk to you!" He grabbed the phone and responded with "I no wanna talka ta daddy" and ran in the other room. He came back a moment later empty handed and grabbed a page from Gabi's scrapbook and one of Gabi's socks and ran back. I heard a flush and ran to the bathroom to see the page and sock stuck in the toilet! I grabbed them out quickly thinking I saved the day! Only Preston looks at me and then looked into the toilet and said, "Where da phone? Phoooonnnee? Where are youuu?" and shrugged his shoulders...
Hmmmm... Are you thinking the phone is where I am thinking the phone is?
(and our toilet is clogged!)

I'm so sorry Shannon, but that is SO funny!!!!! He is such a typical little boy and I LOVE that!!!! I wish I knew why the little ones think it's so fascinating to flush stuff. I once had to get someone to take the entire toilet off the floor to my then 3-year-old son's shorts out of the toilet.
That is too cute/funny...except for your toilet being clogged. I hope you can retreive the phone without too much hassle.
That is too funny! And what does your immediate future hold in store? For us, my niece flushed a Boo-Boo Bunny (made from a washcloth), and the plumber removed it! An expensive funny!

Not any help now- but for further they have latches now for the toilets to baby proof them- I thought about it to keep them from drowning in the toilet, but I am sure it would prevents phones from being flushed too : ) SMILE ! You will enjoy telling this story in a couple of years.

And I thought I had problems! I once dropped a toothbrush (an old one I used for cleaning) in the toilet as I flushed it. The plumber had to take the toilet out of the house to get it out. Thankfully he did not have to break the toilet.
